Test Shot's

This is our test shot, we tested tracking, panning and tilt shots. This has shown that we can effectively use these types of shots and incorporate them into our pyschological thriller opening.

Location Research

Bungalow

Bungalow: this is one location that we considered this is the bungalow we considered this as it was very isolated and the windows which are very blacked out.

                 Side School Of Upper Block

we looked at this location as it looked very isolated which was perfect for what we wanted and it also had a great view, which would build tension when filming.

Caretaker Building

Caretaker building: This location can be used as it is more secluded from the rest of the school. It would be useful to use this, in our opening scene.

In addition, the atmosphere created would look more sinister and tense as we plan to film when it is dark.

 Gym Block- Shed

 

We chose this location because, the surrounding look really isolated and the fact that there is a small woodland area by the shed, implies it a good setting to shoot a psychological thriller in the dark, as we plan filming most of our shots in semi darkness.

Opposite side of the gym- Side entrance to gym

We decided to use this location, because of the sharp corners of the side building, it seems a perfect location for a stalking scene. The isolation of the debris behind the gym block gives off an eery tense atmosphere.



Product Research- Se7en Shadia

Types of ideas: We could make a symbolic opening for our pyschological thriller.

We could feature a series of images and include a series of noises that would play on our audiences fears.

This is the opening scene for Saw V this is a symbolic image as its a chain to show that someone is being tortured, as well as the number 5 in roman numerals as its the 5th sequel.

In the opening of Se7en, we see an opening different to that of Paranormal Activity. Here we see a symbolic opening featuring images and text that hold important significance later on in the film.
